I take Pump at my gym, since I'm going to be applying there as a personal trainer soon-ish. All of the Beachbody programs are excellent - same people who created P90X, Insanity, T25, Les Mills, ChaLENE Xtreme and all the rest - they're excellent! I'm a coach with them, so I do get a lot of sample workouts from their back office... One of my favorite Les Mills classes is RPM, since it has helped me a ton with cycling drills and endurance and what-not.
I say, keep going at the Pump program, and perhaps investigate some more of his when you're ready!
there is a barbell that comes with the videos, and in some of the routines you use the weights from the barbells like free weights. I don't like attaching and reattaching the weights so I use free weights that I already had for the segments that require free weights.

I just started body pump for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. it is so far one of my very favorite classes. it is primarily strength training so you do need to supplement your cardio!!!!!! my goal is to take body pump three times a week!!! try it!!
