thanx. yes the problem is finding something affective. I have recently found that certain core exercises don't affect me what so ever because I use that part of my core in my dancing and totally didn't realize it.

If you do a search on SP, all over the internet, on YouTube you will find so many abs workout and moves suggestions.
The only thing is not to use the same routine over and over, change it every time, that's the secret, try to vary as much as you can.
And, most important, anything that you choose, execute CORRECTLY.
Best of luck!

Hence planks and supermans. They work everything at once rather than one group. Also the more intense versions of pilates and yoga are great for working the whole core.

Ab work is just working the muscles of the abdomen.

Core work is working the muscles of the abdomen AND the lower back area (though not necessarily at the same time). For example, a superman is a core exercise. www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercises.asp

I think working the whole core is superior to working just the abs.

You don't have to eat the whole thing.
