Gentle Pilates! No standing required, the focus is mainly on your core!

Tina,

Your Nutrition Plan is going to be vital during this "off" time. Take the time necessary to heal. As far as exercise, you can still strength train. You just can't use the lower half of the leg with the broken foot.

Good luck with your recovery.

Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels and looks.

I know it's super frustrating but I am glad to hear you'll head your doctor's advice. emoticon

Also, remember that healthy living is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. So, since you can't workout quite as vigorously as you'd like, maybe you can take some time to really focus on your eating.

I hope you avoid that pin!

I agree with the previous poster. You should contact a physiotherapist. They will be able to design a program that works around the injury.

Have you spoke with your doctor regarding exercise? You may want to discuss your desires with him/her and maybe get a referral to a physical therapist. Any suggestions we provide may cause more harm than good as your foot heals.

Keep at it, don't get discouraged. That happened to me but I was layed up for many months and just gave up and started eating. Don't make my mistake.

Do look at chair exercises through sparks and keep up with arm weights .... in a week or so you will feel better and you will be able to do limited crunches. It will surprise you what you can do.

If you don't love yourself....how can you expect others to.

Take a look at Spark's Limited Mobility Lifestyle Center at www.sparkpeople.com/resource/lifestyle_cen
ter_detail.asp?id=19

There are a whole range of workouts there you can do seated or with limited mobility.

I fell off my back porch yesterday and broke my foot. emoticon
I am an avid exerciser. Now what can I do to keep the habit going? I was going to the gym almost every day. I did the elliptical for 30 minutes and the 30 minute circuit training (like the curves plan).
I will be on crutches for at least a month. I get my hard cast tomorrow. I don't plan on doing anything for the first week. Foot in too much pain.
Can I get some suggestions please? emoticon
