I have been thinking about getting a bike rack. I wouldn't be using it on a regular basis, but think it could be useful. I only have my one bike. I have looked at sites (i.e., REI, etc.) that talk about the pro's and con's and of various types of bike racks.

As of right now, the bike rack would be used on my car and maybe on my grandfather's car. I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SEL. My grandfather's car is a 2007 Toyota Camry. The bike rack would be mostly used on my car, but it could be used on his car a couple of times (visiting family at Christmas - travel to and from).

What would be best for someone that is short (5 ft even)? What would be easy me to do alone or with minimal help?

I'd rather not have to take my bike apart just to go from one state to another, put it back together, then repeat the process when I go home.

I do plan on going to a bike/cycling shop on Monday or Tuesday, but I would like to get some suggestions before going in.
