When to call a doctor for an ankle sprain according to WebMD:www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/ankle-sprain-w
If your symptoms are not severe enough to call a doctor, then I would stay off the ankle for a few days anyway, until it feels like you can walk comfortably.
There are sitting workouts you can do, or you can simply reduce calories until you can increase your activity again.
