LOL, because I workout a lot already, if it's really not doing anything, I'd just skip it... haha. It takes a lot to raise my heart rate so I don't even know that a heart rate monitor would pick up calories burned, but I'm going to see anyway. I would imagine it's equivalent to a slow walk maybe? I don't know. I just tried it for the first time last night and this morning.
Also as a 2nd daily recovery "workout", I think it would be OK too. I've got a foot injury so running twice a day is out for now.
I've seen treadmill or bike desks for people to use while working, and I imagine they aren't going very fast or hard but it's probably doing something, if even to get the blood flowing over just being stationary. I could also do it while surfing the web with a tablet or with a small laptop desk.
I actually don't know why I keep thinking of ways I can stay in motion, I should be relaxing more, if anything. But some days, like today, I'm not up for my normal workout due to circumstances, but I can do an easy pedal such as that.
