spread a hand towel flat on the floor (works best on a non-carpeted area) and use your toes to scrunch the towel towards you

toe stretchers can also help. I bought some really cheap ones many years ago. When I first tried them, I could only keep them on my feet for a few minutes. Now I often fall asleep wearing them. They really help relieve my tired, achy feet.

Walk around the house barefoot as much as you can to strengthen your feet. The more walking you do barefoot the stronger the muscles of your feet will get.

It is called WORK-ing out for a reason.

you may not have the right shoes for your feet/activity. Take coach Jen's advise

You could also change where your walking as well.
Asphalt and concrete are going to punish your feet way more than grass, dirt, or sand. If your walking at a park on a side walk, try walking beside the sidewalk instead.

Your best bet for shoes is to be fitted by a professional at a specialty running/walking store. Everyone is different, so the best shoes for one person aren't going to be the best shoes for another.

Thanks no vigorous walking today, just slow paces.

Can you recommend any good shoes for power walking?

Calf raises. Doing them barefoot really works the muscles in the foot, as well as the calves and ankle.

You may also want to try a different pair of shoes.

Hi everyone, just wanted to know if there are any specific exercises to strengthen feet. I have been power walking for almost a month now and find that my feet ache. I have tried several trainers, but still feel achey?
