I can't really say I have ever had a compulsion to jump off to the sides of the Treadmill. I have of course before, if I dropped something or my shoe lace came untied....but never just HAD to for no reason.
Maybe you should run outside for awhile until the compulsion leaves you

I have a really strange problem. I have run on treadmills for almost 20 years with no problems. About 2 weeks ago, a towel I had draped on the side rail fell onto the belt and I jumped off to the sides of the treadmill to pick it up. Now for some reason I have found I have this sudden urge to jump off to the sides for no reason. I keep trying and trying to stay focused but I just canít control the urge and jump off. Itís like my legs have a mind of their own and I canít control it. I donít feel dizzy or off balance, I just have to jump off. Needless to say, itís affecting my workout. I put my towels on the ground, by the way, so thereís no more threat of one sliding off. Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this, and if so, how did you overcome it?
