I really enjoy dancing to all the "Just Dance" videos on youtube. I have the game as well but I find I work out harder when I just work out to the video rather than trying to play the game and get the move exactly right for more points. There are hundreds of songs and a different routine for each song so there is tons of variety. I was almost 300lbs when I started dancing to them so I was terribly uncoordinated and out of shape but now I can boogie with the best of them and pick up new routines quite easily.
Honestly, I hate Zumba but I love music. I found that if I put on a music video and try to learn the dance steps I had much more fun and one heck of a workout. If I just want to have some fun, I will throw my headphones on and dance around like crazy for a half hour or so. You do not need much structure as long as you are moving. I have so much fun all by myself dancing to ARTPOP and just tearing it up in the living room. I know I must look crazy but it is so much fun!

I would try our several and see which ones you like. The gym I do weight lifting class at has Zumba.......And the class I hear is always packed with people. I hear that it is fun and gives you a good workout. I would also see about Richard Simmons dvd's as I think they would be fun.......I like him. I would google dance workouts and see what you get for ideas. Good luck.............

There is no "best" -- what is best is what you enjoy, and will stick with. For example, "best" for me is a group boot camp-style workout. However, I have friends who hate that kind of workout, or prefer working out alone. I hate dance workouts, but my sister in law SWEARS by Zumba. I've tried it, don't like it. That doesn't mean her workout is not as good as mine... just that we have different tastes!
Do what you enjoy, and don't worry about what others think is "best". :)

ok, so now that I have done all this research on getting healthy, and moving towards that, I'm moving on to exercising. I have never been a fan of the typical at home exercising. Meaning the " ok reach, jumping jacks, 3 2 1 ect.. You know what I mean. So after trying to figure out what I myself would like todo, and what I think I would stick to and not "get bored" with it. I think I would like the dancing workouts. I'm 268lbs so I know I won't be really good at it, but I think I would stick with it. So my question is, what are the best "dance" work outs that you all know of? What have you tried? What works best, and is not to hard to stick with?
