I'm starting T25 in January. I've done it before and enjoyed it and got results. I've done insanity and got great results. Looking forward to it.

T25 is so much more fun than any of the P90X programs, I think. I have P90x and P90x3 and have never been able to finish either one. I completed T25 and got great results. I lost around 15 pounds and lost LOTS of inches. I was going to do a hybrid T25 90x3 program after completing T25, but I have only been able to do about 5 weeks before I just get too bored. I'm mixing up all my old programs now to make my own.

I just started T25 yesterday and I am SO excited. I literally cannot wait to go home and work out. emoticon In the past two years I have gained about 60 lbs and I need to get all of this extra weight off. I have P90X and P90X2 but have never made it more than a week with those programs because you need too much equipment and I found it so boring. T25 seems like I will be able to stick to it because it is a fast-paced 25 minute workout. emoticon

I've downloaded the T25 videos to my computer and was planning to start them next week - reading everybody's input here has me really excited!

I'm finishing Insanity but I think I will be re-doing T25 starting at the end of November. I plan on hitting Alpha, Beta and Gamma up.

However, a few people wanted to know how close it is to Insanity, well, Insanity has a new workout coming out called Insanity Max 30 (only 30 minutes). Coming in December.

Am on week 3 of Alpha and i like it but i hate Lower focus. It is my worst workout of the lot. I measured myself at the start and will measure myself after i complete Alpha but this workout is hard.
After 3 weeks i still struggle with some moves and as i get more into the workout i cant even keep up with Tania. That said my wife is doing it with me and she has already seen changes as she fit into a jeans she used to struggle with easily.
Good luck all

I have just started doing T25, im on my 5th day of it but I am finding that i have gained weight on the scales ! i feel great but the number has gone up. I have been eating 1250 calories a day but i read online that if you weigh over 130 lbs you should be having 1600 calories a day, does anyone do this and still see results? im worried that i will be eating far too much!

My results have definitely slowed from what they were at first. In the first few weeks of T25 I was losing weight really quickly. Now that I am in the Beta phase, I have found that to be less true. My weight has stayed about the same for the past three weeks (and I am in week 3 of Beta). Here's my theory: I was in worse shape when I started than I am now. The amount of gain in fitness, I think, decreases the fitter you are. I think people that are in worse shape (like me at the beginning) can see bigger improvement. Lousesa, you were probably fitter than me when you started T25. But, right now, I really notice how much easier the exercises are than they were at first. I know that if I continue to eat right and exercise, I will lose weight and improve my health. Anyway, I know I have to exercise, and I like this program, so I'll keep it up.

I see results, but at a much slower rate than most. Almost 5 months, and conscientious with it for the most part, with a healthy diet. Really expected more drastic results for the amount of effort and hard work that went into it. Quite discouraged, to be honest. Definitely feel healthier and fitter, but physically(appearance wise) not anywhere near what I expected and wanted. Suggestions? Explanations?

Hi, KZEAS01! I am now on the Beta phase and still love it. I'm not sure of my total pounds and inches lost. I was supposed to measure all that this morning (and I always do it at the same time of day to minimize the fluctuations ;-), but I forgot about it until after I had already eaten breakfast. No matter - its been great. My skinny jeans are too big! I had to buy a smaller size! I love T25.

Thanks Oliviafitness! I may have really been overestimating my calorie burn. I'm very curious to know what your heart rate monitor says. I'm in the middle of week 4. It's been a hard week for me because of a couple of 12 hour work days and stress. but I've still managed to do every workout. I am definitely seeing and feeling great changes in my body. I've changed the schedule so that I do the first workout of the week on Wednesday and my "Staturday" is actually on Monday. But I will let you all know my weight and inches lost when I measure then.

Just stay motivated & do your workouts everyday! Yes-even when you feel like they are not making a difference-they are!
I am here if you all have any questions or need help!
Send me a private email & I would be happy to help you along!

Just started my 2nd week of t25. I also was confused about how I should log the workouts on myfitnesspal though it looks like there's more options here. After researching the topic a little, I've learned that calories burnt vary a lot from people to people and workout to workout. It's depends on you weight, height, effort and metabolism. So basically it varies A LOT. I'm personally logging them between 50 and 100 calories to be super conservative about it, figuring I'm burning more as I do push myself hard (I'm 158 lb and 5'8).
Because of this, I ordered the h7 polar heart rate monitor to use with my phone to get a better estimate of how much calories I'm burning with t25 and adjust my calorie intake or workout more. I'll let you know it you want how much I end up burning on each workout (I do hope it's a lot more than what I've been estimating), though the estimates you mentioned do seem like a good estimate if you push yourself really hard and aren't too fit/small to
begin with. I definetely think I burn more on the lower focus workout than any other though

On my fitness tracker, for Cardio 1.0 and Speed 1.0, I'm putting in 25 minutes of the category "Aerobics: General High Impact (P90x, Insanity"). It shows up as just over 200 calories burned, I think. For the Total Body Circuit, I put in 25 minutes of the category "Circuit Training (boot camp workout)" . It shows up as around 240 calories burned, I think. I think I used the Circuit Training for the Abs Interval workout also. I really don't know if these amounts are right, or even close. Hope this helps.

Hi T25ers! I'm happy that I found this thread. I've had these workouts since April, but just started them today. I took my before pictures (gasp!) and measurements (more gasp!), so I'll keep you posted. In a perfect world, my goal is the lose 30 pounds. It made me feel a lot better to see so many people doing the modified version. Makes me feel like a little less of a loser! That's what I'm starting out with, too. I can probably do a few of the non-modifed moves, but I'm sweating so bad, I don't want to risk getting hurt (I'm not very active to begin with) or getting burned out before I even get started! At any rate, what are those doing the Alpha version putting in their fitness tracker for calories burned? Thanks in advance!

STPMOM, IMPO calories burned is always just an estimate. Level of exertion, time and the weight of the person doing the exercise will change the rate of calorie burn. Some people use heart rate monitors that estimate calories burned. I used to use a body bug and it would give me an estimate of calories burned. But I thought it was annoying to wear a thing around my arm. For now, on Spark People, I have just been entering my fitness activities by choosing something from the drop down menu that resembles what I have just done. I'm sure my actual calorie burn may be wildly different, but I've made an honest attempt. The way I see it is that the important thing is for me to exercise and to keep doing it. Congratulations on Rockin' Body! I have that program too and it's fun!

So I am approaching my double day for week 2 and am wondering how you all have handled that. I couldn't do both workouts on one day. Not because I didn't have time, but because, after doing Lower Focus, I started the Cardio DVD, and my legs just wouldn't go anymore. Lower Focus was really hard for me. My legs were trembling and absolutely spent. So I did the Cardio workout the next day. Have ya'll been able to do both workouts back to back?

Hi Everbody,
I just finished my 6th workout with T25. I am doing the modified most of the time. I like it because it only takes 25 minutes so its over quick.I haven't sweated this much for a long time. I haven't weighed myself since I started. I think I will wait till next Sat. I can tell a difference already. I feel better.I need to lose 20lbs. I think this will help me get there.
I am so glad I found this board on Spark. I look forward to hearing everybody's results.

Hi, Tamara. I'd like a motivation group as well to keep me going as the newness fades. I just finished week 1 and lost 4 and 1/2 pounds! I am thrilled. I have been very strict with my diet as well as doing the workouts. I really like the program, but I also have to modify with Tonya quite a bit. I'm very excited to continue.

I'm in alpha week 4, and I totally know where you are coming from, but just stick with it, I promise! I felt so far behind and so uncoordinated those first couple of workouts, but by the middle of week 2 I felt like I had a rhythm. There are still a lot of points during the workout where I look to the modifier, or I feel like I'm not really getting the move correctly, but I'm still progressing each week. And seriously I took a picture of myself on day 1 and again a couple of days ago, and wow I look so much leaner, so seriously stick it out, its worth it and it keeps getting better/harder in a good way!

Keep at it danniegurl! The videos repeat so you will find yourself being able to get through parts in the next few weeks that you struggled with in the beginning and that's what it's all about! Bettering yourself one step at a time :) Don't get discouraged but instead look at everything that went a little better each workout. Try to stay on top of your workouts so you don't get too far behind...not doing them daily (5 or 6 days a week) is going to make it hard for your body to get into exercising. There will always be days that seem harder than others, but then you'll get to days that seem a lot easier than others...and again that's progross emoticon

you can do it!

I'm doing Shaun T's Rockin Body and the Modifiers to help. I'm 52 and out of shape. I can't do some of the Jumping moves that he does. One of the ladies on the video does it in a modified fashion and I can do those moves. I hope one day to get better and not have to use the modifications. I'm doin pretty good so far. I'm on week two. Today I didn't completely use the modifiers so I felt like I have improved. :D Good luck to you!

My husband and I are thinking about doing T25. He is very active and I'm not, and I have asthma. He wants something that won't require buying a lot of extras and I want something I can do that won't flare up my asthma. Do the modifiers make it easier?

I am on Day 2 of week 2 and I lost 7.8 pounds the first week. This goes along with the 2.25 inches from my waist. I found this is challenging but rewarding. Following the meal plan is certainly important with any workout as well. I had great results with P90x and mixed results with Insanity because of my diet. I hope to hit my goal quick but regardless I will continue my journey.

I have this one sitting in my workout DVD cabinet. I think I will pull it out and give it a try. If I can get through an Insanity workout, with breaks mind you, I can get through this (famous last words).

I'm on day 13 of T25 Beta. I've lost a few pounds and feeling great. The endorphins kick in everyday. Something that I hadn't been getting enough of with my dog walks. 25 minutes go by so fast and I look forward to the few minutes afterwards of the stretch. Good luck to all of you thinking of picking up his dvd's. You won't regret it.

Good post, exactly what I was looking for. I was up late, nearly 20 lbs to lose and desire to get back in shape, so T-25 looked pretty good. Heck, I can do 25 minutes a day without leaving the house right? I hated it. I made it through 2 weeks and I can see the improvement on many of the moves and stamina. I like cardio and Speed 1.0. But abs and lower focus is why it is going back. During those 2, I am looking at Shawn T, thinking, "You're insane!" I concluded that it is Insanity in 25 minutes.

My goal first and foremost is to lose weight, my shape will change and I know how to tone with weights. The scale did not move during my first 2 weeks. I rather have 5 days of cardio and build in some ab, leg and arm work.

Also, I am back on SparkPeople. I tried the Beachbody site, it was too complicated. Today I tracked all of my meals on SparkPeople. Welcome home! emoticon

So awesome seeing all of you doing and loving t25! I'm on my third week of beta and don't want it to be over :( I'm actually probably just going to start it all over again and do the whole thing twice before summer! It is definitely worth your money, and if you are debating getting this or joining a gym, I would say to buy this first, complete it and then join the gym. You definitely get a full great workout in, in those 25 min

Hi everyone! I just started T25 myself. I am doing day 5 of week 2 Alpha today. I can already feel myself pushing harder and completing more of the moves. I am staying off the scale but I did take before photos. I haven't started the nutrition plan, and although I am eating mostly clean, healthy food, I don't eat enough fruits/veggies and too many nuts, seeds, etc... So I think if I can just get that in order I'll have good results! Did anyone use shakeology the whole time and/or the nutrition plan?

I've been doing Focus T25 for about 3 weeks now & the results have been exciting :)

I started my journey with Beachbody almost a year ago with Insanity & became a coach in August so I could start helping others & now run online challenge groups every month!

Meeting new people through Sparkpeople and my online FB groups has been so encouraging! How are all of you doing? I still struggle with the Cardio workout :/

I just bought T25, I love the fact that it is only 25 mins. I also own Insanity, but now I have to get rid of it. I have not had the chance to use T25 yet, but I liked Insanity when I was actually doing it, so if it's anything like that I know I will get results when I stop being lazy. LOL emoticon

So, I should have finished Beta last week, but my workout buddy's daughter got sick and my husband got home from Afghanistan, so we both slacked off at the end of the week (after 9.5 weeks of perfect Focus!). But we're re-doing our last week now, and I'm excited about how fit I feel. I blasted through Rip't Circuit this a.m. with 12 lb weights and barely broke a sweat. I'll prob be looking at starting something new after I get back from vacation. She has P90x, P90x2 and Insanity, so we're going to try see what we can make time for in our schedules.

I don't see the same calorie burn as Insanity. Not even close. My HRM (Polar) shows usually somewhere around 230 - 300. Insanity was pretty much always well over 400 with 700 on the days when you do abs after. BUT (and yes, it's a big one), I just started T25 seriously this week. So I sometimes end up standing there staring at my TV trying to figure out what he's doing next. LOL I can feel it is working though. I took a month off after finishing Insanity and I'm feeling that month. My abs in particular are complaining, in a good sore kind of way. I'm not sure I'll see 400s out of Alpha T25. But it definitely is working. As a runner, I think it is great for cross training. Not so intense that it makes running hard. I couldn't run as much as I wanted to with Insanity. My legs were too beat up. I don't have that problem with T25. I can handle 25 mins of intensity. :-)

I'm fortunate to be going to school, surrounded by quitters ^_^
I've gotten a TON of bulk workout programs for pennies on the dollar since people buy them, stop using them, then gotta move back home and need to get rid of them NOW
They're not always complete, and usually don't come with the 'extras', but hey! I was literally given Insanity cuz a friend was leaving, and bought ChaLean Xtreme a few weeks back i a bulk thing that included some no name toss stuff and Jillian Michels for the equvalent of $30
I'm sure T25 will show up soon (the glory of transcontinental flight baggage limits ^_^), just needed to know if I should even bother buying it.

No problem, Alorta.
Yeah, I know, I felt the same way when I heard it was only 25 minutes. I thought "there is no way you can burn as much as Insanity!" lol
I actually attribute getting my calorie numbers to my Energy & Endurance supplement, because it gives me a little rush of adrenaline and helps me push a lot more than without it, so it helps my calorie burn!
The content is like Insanity but in short bursts. A move that you would do in Insanity for 1 minute, you would do it for 30 seconds but with something else added in to up the intensity.
It is A LOT of cardio and when he says 25 minutes straight, it is 25 minutes straight! lol
I can send you a clip of it so you can get a better idea so let me know if you want to see it.
Honestly, being a coach, I have tried many of the Beachbody programs and although many of my friends have gotten great results with a lot of the other longer ones, they were never for me.
I am very happy that I found this one because it makes it very hard to come up with an excuse to not work out lol
25minutes-yeah I've got time for that :)

Thank you so much for the info!
I've been doing Insanity on and off for about a year now, but I'm a bit worried that I'm getting too used to those workouts (especially month 1 stuff). I'm not quite getting your numbers, but I was thinking T25 a *tad* too good to be true.
I will have to look into it some more ^_^
Is the content Insanity-like? Or is it more of a mix of strength and cardio vs Insanity?

Hi Alorta,

I've done both programs and I use a Polar Heart rate/Calorie monitor so I have been able to compare my results for both programs. I have to tell you that I was pretty skeptical about Focus T25 burning as many calories as Insanity but I hope that it was true because I rather work out for 25 minutes than 45 :)
I have been pleasantly surprised! I can burn anywhere from 380-400 calories with Focus T25 and I can burn anywhere from 400-420 with Insanity.
So, the results are close enough that I will stick with the Focus T25! :)

Hi Nancy,
It all depends how comfortable you feel with 25 continuous minutes of cardio. It sounds like you are pretty comfortable with it if you run. There is a modifier in the video that shows you how to do all the moves with less impact.
If you are active, you should be able to do it even if you modify some of the moves.
I can send you a clip of the actual workout so you can get an idea of what it entails. Send me a message with your e-mail if you are interested. :)

anyone know how the results of T25 compare to his Insanity program?
I'm a bit weary when someone claims you'll burn 45min worth of cals in 25min...

Can anyone tell me if you would recommend this for a 60 year old woman? I'm active and I walk/run 3-5 miles and ride stationary bike. Any opinions? Thanks!

Blessings,
Nancy

So, Beta is not as bad as I expected it to be. It's actually really fun! I'm finishing up my second week tomorrow and I haven't died yet, so that's good! Still haven't lost any more weight, but I've been getting compliments on the changes in my shape. Stupid me didn't think it was important to take my measurements at the beginning. I also stunned my friends at Jazzercise with my full out military-style pushups during our set today. So yeah, I think it's working!

Hi - I am Day 3 of Week 3 with Alpha. I love them all except Lower Focus and I are still at odds. Hurts my knees for some reason. I do the modified. I have lost 2.8 pds and 3.5 inches! I am pretty excited about it. I wish the scale would move more - and I know it is my own doing. I am starting over with the calorie counting tomorrow and I know it will help immensely! Now could one of you come take the tortillas chips and salsa out of my hands emoticon ???

I start week 4 today of Alpha! I haven't seen HUGE changes, but then again, I don't have much by way of weight loss to lose, but I've been about .5lbs down each week which is reasonable for me.

I'm so anxious for Beta though :)

Kendilynn, don't worry, I am sure you will be ready! As far as weight loss, I have a friend who is also doing it and she hasn't lost weight so much as inches. So its different for everyone. Keep at it and keep me posted. :)

Hi Ferncrest,
Alpha is the 1st stage of Focus T25, it lasts about 5 weeks. Then comes Beta for another 5 weeks. 10 weeks total. Its tough but it helps that its only 25 minutes if my day b/c with 2 kiddies & a hubby, it gets hard to find time to work out!

Awesome! I start Beta tomorrow, and I'm a little scared. I haven't had much in the way of weight loss, and I failed to take "before" pics/measurements, but I'm hoping to see more results in the second half.

I am on week 2 of Alpha in Focus T25 & I just checked my stats...and..I'm soooo happy!
I'm down 2 pounds (in 2 weeks) and 2 inches around my waist!!!! It's been so long since I've gotten results like these and I was pretty skeptical about getting results with only 25 minutes a day BUT I believe now!! lol
I've been very careful with my diet & getting all my water so I am sure that everything combined helped!
So excited for my next Staturday-check in!! :)
