I have several of her DVD's and use them regularly. Here are my favorites (in no particular order):
1. Walk at Home -- 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. I like this one because each of the 5 miles is totally separate, with a beginning and an end. You can choose which single mile to walk or combine them in any combination for a longer walk. Each mile is at a fairly brisk 12-minute per mile pace and they all include the same familiar steps. Miles 1 and 5 are just Leslie. Miles 2, 3, and 4 have a group with her.
2. Walk at Home -- Walk Slim 5 Really Big Miles. Again, this is 5 separate miles that can be done individually or combined. The difference is that each mile is different in terms of the steps and the speed. The first mile is a little slower at 15 minutes, the third mile is 12 minutes. Miles 2 and 4 include a little strength training with a resistance band (included in the package -- but it is latex, so if you are allergic to latex as I am, you should by a non-latex band).
3. Walk at Home -- Burn Body Fat & Sculpt Your Arms. This DVD includes 3 separate routines -- a 19 minute 1 mile walk -- a 34 minute 2 mile walk -- and a 48 minute 3 mile walk. You use light handweights (that you supply yourself) and do some moves to build upper body and core strength as you walk.
4. Walk at Home -- Walk Slim - Fast & Firm! 4 Really Big Miles. This is the one I do when I want a longer workout. I get a little bored with some of Leslie's walks and my mind needs to move on after 2 miles even though my body can go longer now. This one holds my attention for the full 4 miles (58 minutes including a stretching session at the end). Each of the 4 miles is different from the others and even though each mile CAN be done separately, they fit together well into a long routine. This first mile is the slowest (15 minutes), the second is a little faster (12 minutes) and the third is the fastest (10 minutes). The fourth mile is back to 15 minutes and includes the use of a resistence band. It has better music than any other Leslie DVD and that fourth mile gets a little dancelike at the end to be an enjoyable way to start cooling down before stretching. Overall, this DVD is my favorite.
I recommend going to a website such as collagevideo.com that lets you preview DVD's before buying them -- or check them out at your local public library. That way, you can see what you are buying before you invest your money.
