Warm up and warm down are exercise, and should still be tracked.

But you should track them seperately to avoid overestimating.

So it would be 2 x 5 mins @ 2 mph, plus 20 mins @ 2.5 mph.

Warm up and cool down is still exercise! I track them, but separately. I'm not actually walking 2.5 MPH for 30 minutes if 10 of those are warmup/cooldowns -- so I create a separate entry for those so I don't overinflate calories burned. I keep the mileage separate, and use the mileage tracker for both entries.

I warm up and cool down at a lower rate than my workout rate. When I record my time say at 2.5 mph for 30 minutes, should that time include the warm and cool phase time as well ? Or should I be monitoring strictly the time I am walking at full speed? Thanks
