Not sure what size the sports bras go up to but the new victoria's secret ones (Incredible by Victoria's Secret Sports Bra) are honestly amazing. I usually stick with the athletic brand names, but I got one for my bday and it's actually better than any other one I own. It also make me realize how much I 'move around' in my other ones. I bought 2 more of them and hate when I have to use my other ones! They fit true to your cup size there.

I like Champion, which I stock up on at the outlet store for like half of what they cost in the mall. Throw yourself on the mercy of a saleswoman and get properly fitted; that makes all the difference.

A bad sports bra is the worst for working out!

I got a Panache recently and looovee it! I'm a 34H so I can't just get bras anywhere so more often than not I get them from online.

Good luck on your sports bra hunting

It is often hard to create a sports bra for such a large figure because sports bra's are designed to help keep breasts flat against the chest to prevent them from moving around. It is extremely difficult to create a sports bra that is able to do the same thing with extremely large breasts. If your bust is large than they are going to jiggle a lot no matter what you do.

Barenecessities.com has a large selection. I use Anita but I've heard great things about the Panache and I do love their regular bras so I'm considering trying something different next time.

Although i would hesitate to choose an underwire. My Anita is not underwired and I'm an H. I run and have almost zero bounce and zero chafing.

i'll give another recommendation for panache. herroom.com is a great site...they give you lots of info for ordering your bra, and they have dozens of different brands. the most helpful thing i can recommend is their size comparison chart...usa and british bra sizes are different, so you can compare brands, and get the right cup size.

underwire, no uniboob. i highly recommend it. i'm hooked on panache bras....once you know what size you need, you're good to go.

I used to do the Fiona but now I'm all Panache 5021 all the time. I'm a 36G for reference. I run a lot and the Panache is so much better than the Fiona ever was.

Pro: Underwire support prevents the uniboob look that I got with the Fiona.
Pro: Superior wicking.
Pro: The Panache also has that little hook on the back so you can t-back the bra straps. That brings a little more tension to lock 'em down and is good for t-back running shirts.

Con: PRICE! The Panache is like 2x or 3x the price of the Fiona but I'm hooked!

I'd say start with the Fiona and if that isn't what you are looking for, start saving for the Panache.

I too am VERY boobalicious clocking in at a 36i, I found that sports bras are crap. I have bathing suits that are more supportive.

I don't like the uniboob look, I feel uncomfortable like that.

I wear 2 regular bras, one that fits nice underneath, and the top one tight, an old full coverage bra that I grew out of that holds the girls FIRMLY in place. Then I stack on two tank tops.

Nothing else holds like it. I can run, jump.... even ride a horse with this method.

Good luck. If you insist on sports bras, go to brastop.com, it's a UK website for boobie girls like us. Spend the money get a good one, you are worth it.

Success is a work in progress.

i just bought this bra (44D) at kohls and it stopped about 80% of the bounce. was hoping for more for the price, but still better than the cheap cotton "sports" bra they sell at other stores. they don't sell them in store, only online. i waited til the were on sale, had a 30% off promo code, and they were offering kohls cash before buying it though. ended up paying about 30.00. they are a little cheaper on amazon, but i went with kohls because of their awesome return policy.

i measured like the manufacture's website instructed, i was 44" band, the bra is just a tiny bit snug.

(also the extra panel forms a great pocket for your ipod!) :)

TO Bierma: Depends on the bra. I love the "Our Own Lace Underwire Bra" from Title Nine. There's another one of theirs I wear regularly too. They don't flatten, just hold in place. I don't care for the "unibra" style at all. The great thing with sports bras are wide straps which don't cut into your shoulders, and better quality lycra and construction which don't poke in anywhere and move with you. They also last longer, especially if you never put them in the dryer. (Heat kills elastic.) I wear them to work and can go for walks or runs without having to change bras. Hope this helps!

Your absolutely best bet for sports bras is Title Nine. They are a catalogue company featuring apparel for active women, but also have a few stores around the U.S. They know bras. They test all the bras they sell. They have great choices of style and color. They have lots of choices for big and not so big chested women. They have other great active apparel too! Excellent service. I order off the website or from their catalogue frequently. I have never been disappointed in their products. Their website is just titlenine.com. Toll free number if you want them to just mail you a catalogue is: 800-609-0092. Happy exercising!

Hi Candacemm, not sure if you have already purchased. Order the correct size as this will provide maximum benefit. Also, with the price of them you will only be in it for a short time before you will need to order the next size down! Enjoy emoticon

I have three Enell Sports Bra. They are brilliant. One of them I have used for five years, the other two I purchased because I thought I had better give my first one a break and have different colours. Have a look on enell.com. They might look a bit odd at first but they really do stop any bouncing or movement which is particularly fantastic for a larger size. I was able to really enjoy Zumba classes. I knew I wouldn't have to limit my movements and I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of not being self conscious. I also use it when I go walking, jogging, and playing any sort of non water sports!

I work at Value Village, and have always been a major thrift-store shopper. I research the bras I want, go to high-end store to try them on if I need to, then watch and wait for them to come in at work. I check them out thoroughly, make sure the elasticity hasn't been broken down, and always try to find ones that got donated from the original retailer (by the way, at VV, if the tags aren't on an item, but there's a six-digit number where the bar code should be, it's 95% certain that the item came to the store from a retailer - insider tip). It takes time, but means I've now got 4 really nice, high-impact sports bras, in my size (38DD) and 4 lesser-impact ones that are perfect for yoga and walking, all for $5 or less. I can usually find one or two bras (regular or sports) per payday to add to my ever-growing collection. :) Hope this helps!

Do the Enell bra's run pretty true to size? I'm wondering if I should order a size up or if I should stick with the recommended size.

I ordered some on-line Bare Necessities. Ordered several different brands and sizes and found a Champion that fit and works for me. I returned the others (free returns, full refund) and then have been able to find the bras at an outlet store, which is a really great deal. I would highly recommend Bare Necessities, as they are great to work with. Good Luck!

I REALLY like the "Shock Absorber Extreme Sports" sports bra. I found it on Amazon. It REALLY holds everything TIGHT. As my daughter says though, once you get to a certain size breast, it is next to impossible to actually have zero bounce. The bras I bought at Amazon are the closest I have got. Note: be sure to order at least one size up. They run small.

I also agree with Enell! LOVE that bra! I found mine at the local running store. It was a little scary going in that first time thinking that they would think I was crazy (over 100 lbs overweight with a very large chest too) asking if they had a bra that would fit, but they pointed me right to the Ennells (sp?) and made sure I got the proper fit. It takes a while to get it all locked in place, but it helps that the fasteners are in front. My belly does more jiggling than my chest when it's got the Ennell.

I echo the recommendation for the Moving Comfort Fiona! I have several of them and love them. I've also tried a couple of different types of Moving Comfort sports bras but I come back to the Fionas. They have adjustable backs AND straps and are made of thick supportive materials. FWIW, I have also used bra extenders with them when I was pregnant (and unfortunately for a long time after) which was so much better than having to buy new bigger sports bras! You can buy them at Zappos and at other online retailers.

I just purchased bras from Victoria Secret and absolutely love them. I bought two regular and one strapless. I noticed that they have sports bras too that are really fashionable. I haven't tried one myself, but if they're anything like the others, they will be wonderful.

I have checked out TJ Maxx or Marshalls ? I know it's hit or miss, but I have seen good quality sports bras in larger sized marked down for clearance. it's worth a shot to check their sales racks because you never know what you'll find. I have found NIKE bras originally priced at $65 for $20. And yes, I have seen sizes in 1X on the racks.

You should also check better quality department stores like Macy's. The larger Macy's location do have a very wide selection of bras. Yes, they may be pricey. So, you might want to wait for a sale. I never buy bras full price. too expensive.

I understand the difficulties in finding a decent sports bra (or a bra in general) when you are top heavy. My doctor recommended Athleta because apparently the bra's there don't make you look like you have a uniboob. She's female and said that her sister is a runner (if that helps). I wasn't really impressed with the selection for my size (34DDD) in the high impact section, but maybe you'll find something. I have a few sport's bras that a friend got for me but I can't think of the brand off hand.

Depending on how full-figure you mean, I love my Moving Comfort Fiona. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ALIU1W/ref=o
h_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It goes up to 44DD, and it really keeps everything in place and it quite comfortable. I love the front adjustable straps so that I can snug it up without having to take the whole thing off. I'm also a big fan of hook closures - I'm just a C cup and there is no way I can pull a sweaty sports bra off over my head without dislocating something!

Do something everyday that your future self will thank you for.

that is supportive for a full figure(bust). I have only been able to find the flimsy ones in my size & they are not supportive at all. The manufacturers seem to think that if you are overweight/obese that there is no need to make good supportive bras because you don't exercise anyway. That is SO wrong!

The only thing that's holding you back from achieving your dreams is YOU!
