The formula for fitness, irrespective of age is three fold in the following ranked order, nutrition (diet) is number 1, strength training is number t2 and cardio is a poor 3rd contrary to the current urban fitness myth.
Monitor and control your nutrition, find a strength programme you can use, neither yoga or Pilates qualify as strength training and add cardio to improve your cardiovascular fitness. Aproper strength training programme will increase your ability to do everything you do on a daily basis.
