Inspiration can't come from your equipment. Move the inspiration inside you... that will help. You know you need to do it, so make a plan, make an appointment, and DO it!
I wouldn't worry too much about the dumbbells... you'll adapt to them quickly, and they won't challenge you long enough to make any real results. Use those resistance bands. Join the resistance band team headed here by Sergeant Major - you'll get lots of support!
