I love snacks!

I'm a fan of almonds, dried apricots, bananas, I let myself have some cheddar goldfishlike crackers or dark chocolate covered pretzels or ginger.
I don't know if we are allowed to advertise here but I love nuts.com for finding snack foods and all the foods have the nutritional information on the site. I love their energy squares.

The most important thing for me is that I have several small containers that range from a half cup up to about two cups. I never just carry the package of food anywhere. Everything gets measured first!

nuts and seeds
cut up fruit (i don't refrigerate my apples)

you can always put them in an insulated bag.
if you do drive a lot maybe think about getting a cooler you can plug into the outlet in your car. My parents live in the desert and are never without cold water in the car.

:)

Almonds, dried apricots, soy nuts, pumpkin seeds, Larabar Uber varieties, ALT bars. Wouldn't hurt to keep a six-pack cooler in the car so you can keep carrots, celery, apples, even hard boiled eggs, string cheese and yogurt, as long as you plan to eat those early in the day. I always have snacks on hand, because my kids eat constantly, and the cooler is a must in our climate.

Apples, Anjou Pears, PB&J sandwich, a Fiber One Protein Bar. I know that the fiber one bar may not be the best choice, but it's better than reaching for a real candy bar (like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup or a Snickers, which I love).

What are your favorite go-to healthy snacks when you don't have a fridge? I drive a lot and can't always refrigerate my snacks. Any ideas?
