I am trying to get to where I can run and, for me, there is no way I could even attempt to run everyday. I would love to but my body just won't let me. My body says, "Nope. You're not running two days in a row."

As others have said, until you have built up to it for a while, you shouldn't run every day. In fact, you shouldn't run on consecutive days, so three days a week should be your max for at least 6-12 months. I didn't start running four days a week until I had been running just about a year. It's a very high-impact activity and your muscles and joints really need the recovery time or you risk injury.

I agree with Dragon + Zorb; if you are just starting out, every day is not a good idea. Vary your cardio, and in time you might be able to build to daily runs. I run daily, but didn't start until I had been running for over a year.

there are many people who run every day, but they generally have built up a solid base of running and is definitely not recommended for beginners.

Generally not if you're new to running. Think 6-12 months of running, minimum. You have to give your body time to recover and heal.

However, that also depends on the run. If you're cranking out a mile before breakfast, that's probably not too hard on you. But trying to run a 5k every day is likely too much for most new runners.
