There is so much one can do from a seated position, without challenging the foot at all. For instance:
-- Wheelchair versions of yoga poses
-- Upper body strength and flexibility exercises, including weight training from sitting and lying down positions
-- Upper body exercise ergometer for CV training
-- Resistance band training
Your physical therapist will have a million ideas -- just let him or her know that you are an athlete interested in reconditioning yourself!
