I sometimes exercise mid-day or early afternoon on weekends - but often in the evening; and always in the evening on week-days. I like working out at night - my physical and psychological energy is highest then. I feel great, and never have trouble falling asleep after (except I drink a lot of water while working out so - well, you know...) When I work out earlier in the day it's hard for me to get anything else done - I'm tired! so it's better for me to do it shortly before bed time.

I prefer the morning although on some rare days I do 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. But I find for the most part if I don't do the mornings then I have trouble doing it later.

For me it's not about getting thin, it's about getting fit and healthy. Getting thin is an added bonus!

As much as I wish I could be a morning person, I'm just not. I always perform much better in the afternoon or evening. The trick is talking myself into it at the end of the day!

Starting Weight: 260 lbs. (November 2010)
Quasi-Maintenance: 165 lbs. (June 2011)
Goal Weight: 150 lbs. (reached December 8, 2011)

Size 22W to Size 4

Currently maintaining within 5 lbs. (+ or -) of goal. I weigh daily, but also use a tape measure and the fit of my clothes to guage how well I'm doing.

Summer is all over the place but once school starts I drop my son off at school and then head out and do something - walking in the park, mall walking, off to the gym, meet my daughter for a run.......if the weather is really bad, I like to walk on the treadmill or ride my stationary bike and watch a little television at night.

Evening. I can't be consistent about exercise if I try to do it early in the morning.

I once showed up at my gym at 6AM (I was usually there around 7-8 PM) and everybody looked at me like I had 2 heads. :)

Dances: salsa (standard/LA), casino, rueda de casino, cumbia Colombiana, bachata, mambo, cha-cha-chá, merengue, reggaetón.

Currently learning: Mexican cumbia, danzón, Cuban rumba

Dances to Learn in the future: flamenco, tango Argentino, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, ballroom rumba

My favorite time to exercise is at midnight because I exercise with a SparkBuddy here on SparkPeople. I used to exercise in the morning, but can't give it my all because I don't eat in the morning and I have low blood sugar. At midnight, I'm hydrated, have normal blood sugar, have energy and just overall like it better. Been able to start and maintain a streak this way! Working on consistency.

I'd rather exercise in the morning to get it over with but I can't get up earlier before work so end up doing it when I get home - 5:30ish.

i LIKE working out early in the morning... what i do not like is having to go to bed even earlier to do so. so my routine as of late is to go in the afternoon when i'm done with work!

Current goal:
- 32 by end of April.

Next goals: -
39 total by end of May.
-46 by end of June.

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!
