You don't need to go to a gym to exercise.
When travelling, I often get in a LOT of walking and seeing the sights. Climbing stairs is a really intense cardio workout you can do anywhere.
And there are plenty of great ST exercises you can do using just your own bodyweight for resistance - squats, planks, pushups. Resistance bands are great piece of exercise equipment for travelling - cheap ($10-20), portable and versatile. And a lot more durable than a day membership.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
