This time, I am weighing in once a week. I was just as addicted to the scale as I am food. The scale can be a monster to me, making me indulge or quit, depending on what the scale tells me. Once a week has been much, much better, but it wasn't easy to break that addiction.

usually each morning....as I find its very motivating to me...and I have done it enough that the fluctuations don't bother me. I am losing v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y at this point anyway....

.if its up some, then I really need to be more mindful...
if its down some...I get even more excited and want to continue!!

I average the weights over the week for a "weekly weigh in" number.

I weigh daily. I am no longer afraid of the numbers. I know my body weight fluctuates daily but I do need to see the fluctuation. A high weigh day a low weigh day all averages out. As long as I keep track of my nutrition and fitness I don't have to worry.

The conventional wisdom says weigh yourself once a week. That is a good time period to know if you are making progress with weight loss.

I myself use the scale two or three times a week. I like it better that way.

I try to only weigh once a week and sometimes if I can I weigh once every 2 weeks. I have found that if I weigh every day I get caught up in the scale and you tend to gain and lose weight throughout the day. I also like that if I wait to weigh and only weigh once a week I see the results where if I weigh everyday I get bogged down if I didn't lose anything from the day before.

Every morning! Sometimes it is hard, but getting on that scale every morning makes me accountable for any ideas for cheating or slacking off on a workout. I measure myself once a month with an old flexible measuring tape, and I pay close attention to how my clothes fit. Problem is that I am always more bloated by the end of the day than in the morning, so my clothes feel tighter or looser depending on the time of day.

More than I should (several times a day). Part of me wants to chuck my scale and only weigh myself once a week at a gym. I'd like it to be once a week.. more than that is too subject to food and water weight.

I weigh once a week since I have no desire to live and die by a scale's number. I go by how I feel and how my clothes are fitting for my barometer~

"If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a space in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay."

"Your happiness is up to you. Whatever happened in your life to make you who you are up until this point is irrelevant. It is your responsibility now to take control and change your life to be what you want it to be. Energy and persistence conquer all things. Make time, not excuses."

It can be discouraging at the beginning to weigh everyday. It would probably be better to only weigh once a week or less. I weigh everyday but I am on maintenance so I try to monitor for any weight gain. My weight fluctuates 1-2 lbs probably due to fluid retention. The way clothes fit is a better way to determine progress.

I weigh everyday just because it makes me happy. I have reached my first goal and don't mind if I loose a couple extra pounds.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

I didn't weigh for two years and it helped me tremendously--I learned to pay attention to how my body was changing and I took so much pressure off myself to lose a certain amount by X date. Doing this helped me lose more weight than I ever had before.

Now I weigh 1ce/week, and I don't get upset about times my weight goes up. Scales fluctuate too much for me to worry about it.

I have gone back and forth on this. When I hit a plateau it can be devastating, but if I don't weigh, it's so easy for me to cheat.

So I weigh myself once a week and I measure myself once a week as well. I also see a nutritionist once a month and she weighs me with a body fat scale, so I get a body fat % once a month too.

It's tough, especially when you're not getting the results you want. In May I gained 4lbs, in June I lost half a pound, and in July I lost 8.3lbs. So you just have to keep reminding yourself that your body will fluctuate and you are working toward a healthier lifestyle as well as a thinner waist.

the scale is not my friend so I weigh myself once every 2 months. I use other things to measure my progress. Like how my clothes fit...how well my eating and workouts are going.

Depends - when I get to the point you're at, I try to take a break from the scale because it can derail my efforts so easily when everything else is showing success.

If you hate the scale, minimize your weigh ins or even just get rid of it! There are many different weighs to measure your progress - how your clothes fit, how you feel, heart rate and breathing improving during exercise, seeing a glimpse of muscle where there wasn't any before. If the scale causes stress, there's absolutely NO reason you should put yourself through that, and you should decide what works best for you. You may still have to weigh yourself at dr's offices and such, but you can say that you won't bring that in to your home, or only decide to check that progress every couple months or whatever.

Do something everyday that your future self will thank you for.
