Yep. It's the big reason I don't like the new tracker - they spent years teaching planned exercise and that it was a way to a healthy lifestyle and eating enough regularly was a way to fuel yourself, that eating back all your exercise calories and thinking day-to-day was probably not going to get you far. Then they switch it to "you burned 300 calories today, you can eat 300 more calories today".
I eat more or less at maintenance and exercise is pretty much the only deficit I get, so in that scenario eating back those calories won't work.
Do something everyday that your future self will thank you for.
