Doesn't matter when you do it, as long as it gets done ;) Just not too close to bedtime.

Thanks for all your input!! So far I am finding it easier to do it in the morning...It seems to be easier to put it off in the evenings.. something comes up and then its late...so on.. I am not particularly a morning person.. I love to sleep in... but I have to get up at 6 to go to work... I have made extra effort to get up at 5 or 5:30 am and so far it is working better for me. AND yes, it is giving me more energy for the day.

Thanks!

I prefer early am., I get energized for the day.If I workout out late evening, sometimes I am too over energized and can not sleep well. So it depends on you. Any exercise is great!!

Neither is More beneficial than the other. What is important is that you do it. The idea is that it is better to do it in the morning so you don't get distracted by other things during the day and skip it.

I think whatever is easiest for you to stick to is how you should approach it, I prefer working out in the evenings but its easier for me to walk in the mornings. If I need to do it in the evenings that's fine as long as I get it in. Yoga and other cardio I like to do in the evenings for some reason. I think its because I take such long walks most of the time~

It doesn't matter. What matters here is what is easier for you to stick to.

In theory, it doesn't really matter. There are other things to take into account when making your decision, some of which have already been mentioned.

1. Are you a morning person? If not, like me, then I choose to exercise at night because my morning workouts are only half-baked and I tend to injure myself.
2. Do you have a busy schedule in the evening or are you setting yourself up for failure?
3. How do you eat? Lots of folks "save" their calories for the evening meal so they can eat with their families. If you do, it may be tough to workout on a super full stomach.

Good luck! I hope you find what works best for you!

I work out at night and a common problem with higher intensity workouts later in the day is that it can disrupt your sleep. I'm dealing with that right now because it's hard to settle down and fall asleep a few hours after I run.

I'm also considering going out in the morning so I beat the heat.

I tend to workout first thing in the morning because there are less excuses then as to why I shouldn't. Getting up early enough was definitely an adjustment, but the upshot is that I don't feel the need for coffee in the morning anymore.

I don't think it matters either way. I prefer mornings so I have less time to come up with reasons not to exercise. I usually do my workout in the morning and try to take a walk in the evenings. If I don't get to the walk, I don't feel as bad.

I have been getting up earlier to do my workout..but this morning, after not sleeping well last night, I did not get up to do the exercises. I slept a little longer (since it felt like I just fell asleep when my alarm went off). I decided I would do it later in the evening to make up for it. But is there better results from one to the other? or downfalls? Curious what others think about this.
