What an accomplishment! High five!
I love hiking but it's really flat around here and I go with my kids so I don't really get a good calorie burn from it but activity is activity and it's better than lazing around my backyard, right?
It doesn't matter how stressful my day was, I get out into nature and immediately any heaviness is lifted. It turns any frown, upside down and is a great way to connect with my family. So although, I likely burn few calories during it. It is the best activity for mind, body and soul. A much healthier substitute than finding comfort in food.
