Step aerobics is REALLY easy to modify. I used to take a class where the teacher did some nutsy stuff, and honestly, I did what I could, and still got a great workout. Sometimes I had to modify moves for my ankle. You also learn as you go; the first time, you'll flail and miss your marks a lot, but after a month, you'll have it down pat. :)
