Another vote for a trip to the running store. I had a gait analysis, and was fitted for shoes that make my feet happy.

A running store is going to be your best bet. Found out I was wearing a complete size too large when I went, and that I needed extra support for my high arches. It completely eliminated the feeling of having knots in the bottom of my feet when I was properly fitted!

Get thyself to a running store and get fitted. The employees are highly trained professionals and you can explain your issues and concerns. Bring and old pair of shoes. They'll look for wear patterns. They may even watch you run.

I am having the hardest time finding comfortable running shoes. I think I must have a weird gait. My left foot is comfortable in any shoe but my right foot seems to have issues. I'm thinking I might have an instep (not sure if that's the right word). It's almost like the arch of my foot is hitting the side of the shoe, rather than the built in arch where it should hit. Is there something wrong with my feet? Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?
