Spark's default assumption for activity levels is that you work out for 30 minutes 3 times per week (which is the minimum consistent with good health), and then converts this into a calorie target based on broad averages of exercise intensity.
If your workout patterns are different from this, then you should update your Spark Exercise Goals (accessible from the LH side of the Start page) to reflect this.
