I read in Yoga Journal several years ago to, "...stand and sit with your ears over your shoulders over your hips." I turned that into a jingle that I attempt to remember to say to myself every hour. I have a timer and bell on the computer or at the stove to remind me.
The physical therapist asked what my favorite color was. "Blue." I answered.
"When ever you see blue, think, 'posture', " was the reply.
Both techniques help me to remember to have good posture, but I often forget. At least I do it more than I used to!
The PT said I had about the worst posture of most any of her patients. Now THAT was a wake-up call! So I went and enrolled in ballet classes! It all helps. Whatever works, right?
