It absolutely gets easier! When I first started, I was ready to collapse after 5 minutes on the elliptical, and after my first strength training session I was SO SORE for 2 full days that all I could do was stand up or lay down - nothing in between (and it HURT to transition between the 2)! But I've never been sore like that again, and I've since been able to tell the elliptical who's boss for about 30 minutes at a time!
If anything, it was really motivating that starting from scratch was HARD, so I had better keep going so I would never have to start from scratch again!!!
