I do mine first thing Monday morning. Unfortunately I became one of those 'weigh every day' type people and would get so frustrated when it bounced around.
Now I know that it will do that...and it's not the end of the world. I am ok if it only goes down a little when I have done every thing right. I have stopped focusing to much on the scale numbers and have gone more with the inches that have changed. Not to mention how good I feel.

Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down.

Most weeks I weigh in first thing on a Wednesday. If I don't it will be on the following Saturday.

I just try to have a routine. For me it's first thing in the morning. I might get on the scale several times a week but I only record what it is on Mondays. Whatever you decide just do the same thing every time

Goals
March ~ 7 lbs goal met actual (9.4 lbs)
April ~ 5 lbs goal met actual (5.4 lbs)
May ~ 7 lbs goal met actual (7.2 lbs)
June ~ 3-4 lbs goal met actual (3.6 lbs)
July ~ 2-3 lbs

My weigh ins tend to be Friday morning (before the sodium-parties that my weekends tend to entail), first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom, and nekkid.

You have it exactly right - the importance is to be consistent, pick the same day, time, clothes to eliminate as many variables as possible. A Monday morning weigh in could be very different than a Thursday night weigh in, and it would have nothing to do with actual weight gain or loss.

Do something everyday that your future self will thank you for.

I weigh on the weekends, Saturday & Sunday morning, after using the bathroom & with no clothes on. Whichever one is lowest is the one I track. Once a month I use the tape measure but I just started that so second set of numbers will be later in June. What the scale says doesn't really mean much day to day but over weeks and months you see the trend and that's what counts...

I agree with Dragonchilde - it is about tracking changes over time, not about your 'true' weight. So trying to achieve the same conditions each time will allow the best comparison over time.

I'd recommend in the morning before breakfast but after you pee, with as a few clothes as modesty will allow. Not because this produces the "lowest" weight, but rather that it strips out as many variable factors as possible. (And even then, your weight can fluctuate by several pounds from day to day, due mainly to changes in your hydration levels.)

I'd also add measuring yourself with the tape as a better way to track progress over time than relying solely on the scale.

Most people find they get their lowest weight first thing when they wake up, before getting dressed, and after going to the bathroom. However, there's no such thing as an "accurate" weigh in because your weight's not a static number! It's a vital sign, like your blood pressure or temperature, and will fluctuate throughout the day.

What matters is the difference between weigh-ins, not the individual number, and that you always weigh under the same circumstances.

Just weigh once a week, on the same day of the week. Wear the same clothing (or no clothing). Best to weigh at the same time. The idea is just to be consistent.

I want to have an accurate account of my weight loss.

So when and how is the best way to weigh in?

I know to stick to a consistent schedule and weigh the same time and wear the same clothes for whatever day you pick to weigh in.

Is it best to wear clothes or no clothes?

HELP!!!!!
