I have a simple Omron Step Counter Dual Sensor (Hj203P) from which I had bought from healthhindustan. When it comes to pedometers, Omron, is the bestselling step counter available in the market. It is a pedometer with 2D technology motivates me to walk more rather than take a transport to travel from one place to another. It is ultra slim monitoring step reader which I can easily carry in my bag wherever I go and gives accurate results. It keeps a record of 7days which can be used to track the increase or decrease in the number of steps taken in the whole week.

May be that you need to re measure your steps over a 10 foot walk, divide the inches by 10 to get step length, then reset your pedometer?

I need suggestions on a pedometer. I have purchased several but I always have the same problem. ... The steps are always more than what I take. And when I wear one on my waist as it suggests when I bend over it sometimes resets itself because of the large buttons. .. if I put it on my shoe it doubles everything. Thank you!

I'll second the Omron pedometer. Inexpensive, easy to use and testing found to be quite accurate. www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps

I bought an omron pedometer for app. twenty dollars about four years ago and LOVE it. I need a new battery about once a year and it is accurate. I hear great things about the fitbit but can't do the cost of that one yet.

I bought my pedometer at Sports Authority for $15 on sale. It measures calories, miles, steps taken and time you walked!

I second the suggestion on Fitbit. Best pedometer I have found, and it tracks sleep too.

I have a simple yet reliable pedometer that measures steps and miles/kilometers as that is all I want to track. It costs $5.00. Sportline is the manufacturer. I have found them at Walmart and Meijer stores. If you are a techie and looking for a techie/digital type try Dick's sporting goods. On the other hand, Walmart/Meijer carry digital types as well. Me, I just like my %.00 pedometer as it quite meets my needs.
