Thank you both! Those are the things that I had figured, but I just wanted to make sure.
I live in a small town, so most of my running is done on less-frequently traveled sidewalks. When I am passing someone on the sidewalk from behind, I can generally either move to the shoulder or the road and pass safely. I also call out and let them know that I am coming up and that I have a load
. The only trouble I have run into is when people come from the opposite direction on the sidewalk won't move over at all. I still try to give them as much room as I can. Sometimes, it's just hard.
