It may sound crazy but intense cardio actually makes me feel better if I'm congested!

If you are really sick take a break so your body can heal, But you can always do light exercise (walking, yoga, etc) if you really feel the need to do something.

In general, let your body be your guide. If you're feeling too lousy to work out, then take a rest day and focus on getting better. My personal guideline is that if I'm sick from the neck down (chest cold, cough, etc.), then I rest. If it's just from the neck up (head cold, sneezing, etc.), then I'll exercise.

If you are sick, you are sick, and I honestly would not advise vigorous exercise. It's better to rest in the short term so you can feel better and get back on track then to overexert and extend your sick time.

So, I've come down with a cold and I haven't exercised in the past two days. Yesterday because I had a wicked sore throat(the beginning of it, to get progressively worse while at work), today because last night I went to bed with my usual cold/shaky while sick symptoms and knew that I wasn't gonna exercise and just give my body a little time. Is this the right thing to do? What exercises could I possibly do that wouldn't be too much for future reference? I am feeling better for the most part, so I'm hoping in a couple days I can go back to the park and start back up where I left off.
