As hard as this may be to accept, if it's only two weeks until your race I would seriously think about pulling out if your ankle is still not completely healed.

At best you will not be able to run to your full potential, at worst you could possibly cause further more serious injury were you to go ahead with the race.

And I would certainly echo the comments about seeing a doctor.

Look after yourself!

Please read my ticker backwards as I am trying to gain weight.

I agree with the previous poster. If it's been 2 weeks and you're still having issues, you really should get it checked out.

Good luck!

The only person who can tell you that, I'm afraid, is a doctor. Get in, tell him/her what happened, and get a proper examination. We can't really tell you if it's safe or not, since none of us here know your medical history and can't examine the injury for you.

m training for my first half . 2 weeks ago i did a 9 mile run and had no prob on the run but then when i got back i had ankle pain and it swelled up (lateral) i did RICE it and the swelling went after a few days but i was still limping . I think it was my running shoes that caused it and the excessive slopes . My ankle feels almost normal now maybe a bit stiff and it keeps clicking on and off ( i dont think its sublaxation as my tendon looks normal when it does it ) but now i darent run ! ive been swimming and cycling but its only 2 week now til the race and i dont know if ill be able to do it or if it will be safe ? any thoughts please
