Walking is pretty low impact, and generally considered safe to do even if you're sore. However, you know your body best; what kind of sore are we talking about? Like, "wince when I get out of bed" sore, or just mild discomfort? Is it soreness, or actual *pain* (an indicator something is wrong.)
You may want to cut back just a bit if walking is causing you that much trouble, at least until your body's more adapted to the demands you're placing on it.
Writer, mother, wife, and breadwinner. I love to run, but running doesn't love me, so I'm switching to my low-impact bike.
