Gabriel Davidson's Full Body Workout (with dumb bells) is about 36 minutes if you don't take any breaks...just have lots of water and a towel handy.

Another DailyBurn.com fan here. I, too, enjoy the variety of workouts they offer, and I also like that few of the workouts require extra equipment (beyond maybe a yoga or exercise mat).

I just tried my first Kelly Coffey-Meyer DVD yesterday. It's called "Body Shop" and it's from her "30 Minutes to Fitness" series. This particular DVD focuses on strength training and I really loved it.

I've been using DVD's for exercise for almost 6 years now and I was impressed. Kelly has a no-nonsense, but very pleasant demeanor. The moves were do-able and the difficulty level could be easily adjusted by using lighter or heavier weights and/or making a few slight modifications.

The DVD contained 2, 30-minute routines (one a bit more difficult than the other) plus several "pre-mixes" consisting of edited sections of those routines focusing on specific muscle groups.

The only weakness of the DVD was that there was no "tutorial" designed to teach a beginner proper form. Howver, the exercises were common ones and that information is readily available elsewhere.

I'm going to look into some of her other DVD's to see if they are equally as good.

Actually I just started a new workout from Beachbody called Focus T25. It's only 25 mins long, heart rate goes up, you're sweating and BOOM you're done. There is a modifier in every workout so no matter your fitness level anyone can do this. Absolutely love it!!

Denise Austin is my favorite work out video gal. Of her videos my favorite is her Pilates one with 2 short 20 minute work outs. Great for back pain, core and abs:

www.collagevideo.com/workout-video/denise-
austins-jh-pilates-matwork-8974

A new video I have been working with is more challenging; however, the 10 minute stretching is worth the price of the entire video. I do it almost every day before I take a shower.

www.walmart.com/ip/10-Minute-Solution-Pila
tes-For-Beginners/14673689

My third favorite is Pilates for weight loss:
www.walmart.com/ip/Quick-Start-Pilates-For
-Weight-Loss/10751865

All of these are very affordable, but I mix it up and do a video off Spark every now and then too. ;)

I love all Gilad videos. I have worked out with Gilad innumerable times. He has a 30 min low-impact workout, and all the total body sculpt and bodies in motion videos were made for TV, so they are actually less than 30 minutes each. He's handsome, encouraging, his accent is adorable, I just love him. And he ages over 20 years in the course of the videos, which is cool- still in shape at 50.

Here is a link to an interview that Coach Nicole did with him: www.sparkpeople.com/blog/blog.asp?post=an_

I love youtube for this! I am addicted to Keaira LaShae's channel, especially the reggae dancehall workout. It is so much fun, and different. Also her kickboxing workouts. I am currently working through the Butt Bible by Pauline Nordine. You either love her or hate her, as she talks incessantly about the butt the whole way through the workouts. I find it hysterical though. My butt is starting to really perk up.

On Collage.com, they have good descriptions on each DVD and you can play short excerpts so you know how they sound (voice and music). You can sort according to the trainer, price, etc.
Also they will send you e-mails describing new DVDs coming out if you want them to.

For low impact DVD's that won't wake your downstairs neighbors, I also like Ellen Barrett DVD's. I use "Grace & Gusto" regularly and bought her new "Sleek Sculp" recently. "Sleek Sculpt" is a 30 minute routine using light hand weights.

I also recently bought (and like) "Total Body Balance" with Jessica Smith. It has 4, 20-minute routines. I like 3 out of the 4 routines, so that's pretty good. Her philosophy is very similar to that of Ellen Barrett -- that exercise should help you feel happy and invigorated, not bruised and sore. It should be gentle on the body ... and the routines are low impact. There are very few moves in the routines that I have to modify slightly or slow down. I can do almost all of them, yet feel "worked out" when I am done.

A good source that provides ONLY workoutf DVDs is CollageVideo.com. They show the *actual* duration of a workout (vs what the packaging claims), the workout level, impact, mix of cardio/strength, body part emphasis, equipment required and more, and even includes video clips for preview. You can search instructor, brand, or equipment, or filter by duration, level, type, and impact. I've been using that site since the VHS days. Highly recommended!

Right now I'm working with some DVDs from our library. They have a nice selection. I'm trying out some and will see if I want to buy any like them. I need "no impact".

Slowly and surely wins the race.

I like the 10 minute solution workouts, too.
