No, it doesn't do that. Setting the same range in a shorter time gives lower calorie suggestions.
Like...1 pound in 14 days says "eat 1250" and 2 pounds in 28 days says "eat 1400" (those are just random amounts...just for example).
I think setting a longer time frame gives higher daily calories because you have to maintain it longer. Just my opinion and what I think may cause the differences.
