The pool is a great idea. The only thing that I ever do in the water is to swim laps though, so I don't really have any ideas for you. Oh, sometimes I do dance stretches or yoga moves in a warm-water pool. Could you take a water aerobics or aqua Zumba class to get some ideas for what to do on your own?
Stick with the PT...I completely tore my ACL many years ago, but even without surgery I'm not limited in what I can do, though I do baby it a bit.
