I agree with the other posts above me- careful with your diet to keep things in check. Also, don't overwork an injury that should be treated/rested because if you don't let if heal it WON'T.
Since I don't know how you hurt your leg, I can't give you the best advice, but my favorite for any injury? SWIM!! Find the local high school and see when they have an open pool (mornings are usually open to the public for a tiny fee, and are filled with people working out, not little kids.) Just an idea!
