I have my tracker set for 12,000 steps per day, and reach them nearly everyday. I am a custodian at an elementary school, so it's easy to do. On weekends however, the amount of steps I take decline significantly. :o)

I am paralysed on my left side due to a stroke so I figure 10,000 steps is a long term goal for me and that 5000 would be acceptable in view of my having one half a body to do the work. Truth be told,I rarely do even 5000 as I do cardio only 3 times a week

My goal is 20,000 steps on cardio days. There are even days when I get to 25k. My goal when I started out was 10k and even that seemed like a stretch since I'd always been sedentary. But 10k quickly became 15k and now I'm between 20-25k most days. I've found it doesn't take long to reach and even exceed your goals when you just take it one day at a time.

I try to walk at least 5,000 steps per day and 10,000 if I have enough time. I have congestive heart failure but it isn't too bad. I used to run for an hour a day but now do it for 15 or 20 minutes every other day.

I do more than that when I walk to and from work. It's 5km each way. It's usually about 12000 or more steps, depends if I stop in at the grocery store on the way to my apartment!

Normally I do around 6000 or so for a slow day, and 8000 on an average day.

I have a Fitbit and ever since I got it I do the 10,000 a day minimum. Sometimes it means I walk in fornt of my TV at the end of the day but I am obsesed with getting a minimum of 10,000. When I first started I had to work myself up to it, now my average is more like 12,500. I park farther away, take steps, walk my breaks at work, at work I walk to desks rather than IM or email, anything I can do to move more. It helps in a lot of ways, I find after a brisk walk at work I think better and my mind is clearer.

emoticon According to my Spark Tracker I averaged 20,304 Steps a day last week. It takes some time -- and a Lot Of Pacing! -- but I got it done!!
