It doesn't matter how many calories an individual activity does when compared to other activities. Honestly, what matters is that you enjoy it, and will stick with it. Do you like rebounding? Go for it! Do you like Step? Go for it!
What matters is THAT you do it, not WHAT you do. IF you enjoy it, you'll stick with it. If you stick with it, you'll burn more calories than if you quit.
Running burns more calories than most exercises out there, but if you hate it, or can't do it, it doesn't do you much good!
You adjust your diet to the amount of exercise you do, so burning 800 calories or 400, you'll still be aiming to create the same deficit of 500 calories per day. You'll just need to eat more the more exercise you do. :)
