I'm really not sure where people are getting the impression that I don't know how to use the weight machines. Even if there weren't trainers at the gym, each machine has pictures of how to use them right under the name of the machine. I know exactly what I am doing. The problem came after I had put in a full workout, drove home, took a shower and then ate breakfast. I couldn't remember the NAMES of 2 machines I had used a few hours earlier.

Anyway, I figured it out with a Google image search. I just didn't want to leave people with the impression that I was stumbling blindly around the gym trying to injure myself.

I agree with simple life. It is really important to know exactly how to use any of the machines at the gym. Weight machines are easier to use than free weights, but the machines have to be adjusted for height and the weight needs to be correct. Too light and you are doing nothing, and too heavy you will be sacrificing form and that is when you get injured.
Know what each machine does specifically. The gym staff will show you how to use them and tell you what they are for if you ask them.

You can search the fitness tracker for "strength training" then just add in the minutes you did.

You don't have to eat the whole thing.

I knew what they were called while I was using them. Its just that when I went to track them the names flew out of my head!

That's great that you are adding strength training to your routine! I think a good place to start would be ask gym staff for an orientation to the machines. They can go over what they are called, what muscles are worked and how to set them up for your height. For example, you need to have the seat set at the proper height when using the bench press. If you don't, the exercise won't be as effective or could possibly cause injury.

Also, you might want to check out some books at your local library. Publishing standards are higher than on the internet and most have great illustrations.

Today at the gym I decided to try out some of the strength training machines. But when I got home and tried to track them here, I couldn't remember what some of them were called. One is where you start with your arms out to your sides and push the bars together in front of you. The other, you start with your upper arms straight out and your elbows bent at about a 90 degree angle downward and push the bars down until your arms are straight. I'm almost certain that one was called a triceps press, but that isn't listed in the tracker. Maybe its called something else on here?

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or possibly could point me to a reference guide with pictures so I can figure it out?

(P.S. I've thrown a notebook in my gym bag so I can write these things down in the future.)
