Stability ball, 3# &5# free weights and resistance bands....I also have an elliptcal, a bicycle and a cardio machine (that kicks my butt and makes me feel really worked-out after only 5 min) The stability ball and the hand weights are the only ones I use regularily....The machines I bought at thrift stores and yard sales

@ all, please what could be wrong with the stability ball I just got, it keeps rolling out of place (whenever I sit or lying on it) all the time and I do not seem to do good forms in all my exercises.

I recently returned a hula hoop, I did learn how to get it going, but it was more indoor exercises junk taking up a lot of space. I have a body media armband that lets me stay in the moderate exercise zone, and every thing else is icing - HDMI cable to move the videos from computer to tv ski machine - $6 at the thrift store the big ball and denise austins book of ball and band training two five pound hand weights. gaiam's pressure point massage roller to release sciatica and sacral aches http://www.target.com/p/gaiam-grey-pressure-point-massager/-/A-13561600 I got mine at ulta and never travel without it.

I have my treadmill, a recumbent bike, dumbells, a yoga mat, wii fit/zumba, dance around like a crazy person, skipping rope, weighted ball and some big unit my husband had before we married that I've never used yet.... we are developing our basement so too dirty to use right now.

I tend to perspire a LOT, so I always have a towel and a big glass of water close by. I use several workout DVDs, resistance bands/tubing, light hand weights, and my BodyRider Dual Trainer. The ceiling fan is always on during my workouts. No excuses for me not to exercise indoors since I can't stand to exercise outdoors in the Vegas summer heat!

If you have stairs in your house you could use those for cardio. Even one or two steps could be used as a stepper - just get some music on and step to the beat. Other than that Swiss ball is very versatile and also a good thing to just sit on for good posture. I have a good quality cross trainer at home but it's the thing I use least - and they are such ugly things to have in your home - unless you have a home gym. As someone said earlier it does not matter what you have as long as you use it. Sorry for stating the obvious. However a new toy may do the trick. I just bought a hula hoop and learned to hula! Hope to keep using it.

I have a 10 minute stretch I do every morning while I'm making my coffee. I homeschool a SN kid so my free time is limited and in short increments. SP videos are basically all I do....10 minutes here, 15 minutes there... It doesn't seem like much but at the end of the day, they really add up. And I try to squeeze in throughout my day squats, lunges, and other similar exercises. I can get a couple of 10 rep sets done in between teaching, chores and playtime. I don't have much at home other than a mat, some 2lb dumbells, and a stability ball - but it's enough to keep me going. Oh, and housework adds some extra steps to my Fitbit. It actually helps me keep a cleaner house. I'll think, oh, I don't feel like vacuuming today. Then I'll think of the steps I'll take doing it and low and behold, I'm not only suckin' up dirt, I'm mopping too!

A good vacuum cleaner. No joke - when you're on the floor suckin' air, you really don't want to be suckin' in pet hair, dust, and who knows what else. I'm no clean freak, but doing push-ups or something, you really get up close and personal with your flooring.

In my personal order of importance, basically the order in which I bought them: 1) A Yoga Mat 2) DVD of your choice - Basically Anything Jillian Michaels...LOVE HER! Or Turbo Jam 3) 1 Set of Dumbbells usually 3-5lbs to begin. I've added more and higher weights as I've gotten stronger 4) Heart Rate Monitor 5) Weighted Boxing Gloves for Kickboxing DVDs 6) Leg Weights The first three are must-haves, the rest are the frosting on top.
