People seem to have a love hate relationship with using a Swiss ball as a chair with everyone seeming to have a different opinion. They are comfortable and cushy but there is no research that I am aware of which has demonstrated any real benefit to using one.By the same token I know of no research which says they are bad. Using one to perform some exercises seems to make the exercise more difficult resulting in more muscles being engaged but for other exercises they tend to degrade the exercise.

I am not sure there is a definitive answer, this is one of those try it see if you like exercises.

It is called WORK-ing out for a reason.

I said getting fit was simple, I did not say it was easy.

I love them! Your best bet is to measure the space you have. You don't even need a special chair. I use mine sometimes with my desk itself. They're very comfortable. You do have to mind your posture, though. Not a bad thing at all.

I want to get a stability ball chair but I have read that they do not fit all desks. Does anyone have any experience with this type of chair?
