original message: "Do you like to walk or run for your cardio?"
* I will do whatever gets my heart going!
I walked w/ nordic poles today. -- I will do HIIT on a stair stepper at the gym, or the elliptical trainer, or rowing, or stat. bike.
"Running sometimes hurts my hips, but I know burns way more calories than walking." TRUE, but...
* If you continue running with pain, you may add or cause additional trouble. And then where will you be?? I would highly advise finding out what causes the pain in your hips.
...could be you need different shoes? ...could be your gait? ...could be a muscle or structural imbalance? ...could be a tight IT band?
* I ended up ignoring hip pain and now I CAN'T run, plus it interrupted my sleep for months. It has taken over a year to work on addressing the causes and find relief.
"We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible."
"Your mind will be like its habitual thoughts; for the soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts."
