I read an interesting Spark article about testing cardiovascular health: www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_artic
I'd like to do this; but due to a spinal injury, I can't step up or down without physical help. Is there another activity that can substitute for the step? Could
I do the test using any exercise that raises my heart rate significantly?
The best place for me to exercise, as far as being able to move for any length of time and with minimal pain, is in a pool (water). On land, I can't do much high intensity; although, on a good day, Chair Aerobics would probably qualify.
Thanks for your help!
