I don't necessarily think that TMCLEOD4 was suggesting you are a beginner to exercise, but rather just stating a fact about the program. The more in shape you are, the better equipped you will be to do Insanity, but even for a very fit person, it is still going to be challenging.

For example, I am doing Chalene Johnson's Turbo Fire, and I've been working out steadily for a few years now, and it still is a big kick for me to do that program.

Here's a Beachbody video, if you haven't seen it

I don't know if I gave the wrong impression or not but I am not a beginner to exercise I've lost 67lbs already and go to the gym 7 days a week and consider myself fit but still would like to lose more weight. I was only asking the question because have heard of the "Insanity" workout but wasn't familar with the moves or intensity not implying that I wasn't capable of doing it. I just wanted to know more about it because I'm trying to push through this plateau I'm at.

I agree with KCLARK89 that it's an intense workout. Definitely not a beginners workout. I don't like Shaun T's training style, either. I really like P90X. It's just as intense, but I like the trainer a lot better. If you want a shorter version of this type of DVD (and cheaper) I'd suggest Jillian Michaels' DVDs. Ripped in 30 and 30 Day Shred are tough but short. You could repeat them a few times and achieve the same thing as with Insanity or P90X without the $100+ price tag.

It is a very intense (insane!) program, but like anything, you have to put in what you expect to get back. If you are trying to do it, but not changing your eating habits, then you won't see the results you would like.

That being said, it is an awesome program among others available through Beachbody!

I seen brief glimpses of commercials on tv for something called the "Insanity" workout and have read a little bit about it. Has anyone hear tried it? I asked my trainer about it and he basically just said it's a lot of body weight stuff but didn't give me anymore details then that. If anyone can provide any feedback, advice etc. I have hit a plateau and I want to move forward and seen the scale move down.
