As for strength training, you're fine as long as you give all body parts (upper body, lower body, core) 1-2 days of rest in between strength training sessions.
As for doing cardio and ST on the same day, one article I read on Spark says it's fine (as long as you're not doing lots of each), but that you should choose what you want your biggest focus on. That's because whatever you do second in the day will likely not be your strongest because you'll be more tired.
