alone! sometime workout buddies fall away. hard to get re-motivated when that happens.

i work out alone and i hate it, but i can't get my friends to join me, so i keep going. But lately its been a lot of misses.ahhhhh!
I am determined to better myself on all levels. My goal is to be progressive spiritually, phyically, mentally and emotionally. I do both. For my high intensity workouts I use a buddy bc i am competitive and need to beat someone. For my relaxation or stretching i prefer to be alone.

I do both. My daughter and I go to the gym together when our schedules permit. I recently found out a coworker goes to the same gym so we've gone and I go by myself when they can't go with me. I don't do much exercise at home yet.

I work out with my partner... he used to be very active with lots of strength training at the gym and kickboxing... he keeps me motivated and if we can't make it to the gym he takes me out for brisk walks with some additional cardio or strength exercices ...

When I am at home doing the videos, I am alone. But I have gotten to know some of the other people at water aerobics, and we plan to come on the same days at the same time.
I started water aerobics 2 weeks before starting sparkpeople, so the swimmer is a good icon for me. My zodiac sign is also water, so seeing the water image is a good motivator for me.

I get on my treadmill in the living room, so I am not totally alone. My family is around and I have the TV on so I don't get bored. It is wintery, cold and rainy. I love using my tready.

I learned a long time ago to never depend on anyone else to get in shape with me. Sure it's fun to work out with someone else when the timing and all other variables fit, but to meet all your own personal fitness needs you are most likely going to be better off on your own. Not to sound nasty but someone else might hold you back or be far to advanced for you. I usually work out on my own and am able to meet my fitness needs. If someone else is available to work out with me, then that's great and I love it, but I never depend on it.

Most of the time - Alone. Warmer weather, Saturday mornings - I walk with a friend for several hours. We generally cover about 6 miles. I make it back home before the family even thinks to get up. It's a great way to start the weekend!!

Both. I primarily exercise at home and do these alone. I prefer to be alone as I don't want any interferences and am on a mission. I used to use DVD's, but I have stopped because I really enjoy silence (x/c for my own breathing). So, I primarily use printed workouts from books and websites and work out in silence. I am also an avid swimmer and when donig so, I am kind of alone since I am not interacting with others and solely focused on my own swimming. However, I don't like to swim in a pool when I'm the only one in the pool. So, there may be others in the pool, but I'm really alone in my own lane. For my weekly gymnastics and iceskating, I am never alone.

I usually workout alone. I meet my coworker at the gym somedays too which seem to be the days I work harder now that I think about it.

Exercise is a personal thing to me and I prefer to work out alone. Although I think a workout buddy is a good thing too to push you alittle harder, but I just don't do it.

I always exercise alone. I tend to work out really early in the morning or really late at night when no one else is willing to join me. Alone is the only way I can concentrate since I don't have to be self conscious about what my body's doing. Also, I don't have to worry about trying to keep up with or slow down for a buddy.

I have been working out alone ......either by pace walking and using kettle bells or videos. Why? Because sometimes you may have those who say they want to work out with you but they don't seem to keep up with their part of the deal............so guess what I keep going because I'm serious about this goal. Keep working out even if your alone..............your doing it for you and we can't make others commit to what they may need to do for themselves.

I like to workout alone because I can take breaks when needed and not over-push myself to the point that I might get hurt. I do have an extra pair of eyes watching me but my 2 year old son doesn't judge me :)

Alone. I have yet to find someone who can keep pace with me (that would be S.L.O.W... LOL) and I have physical therapy exercises I need to do six days a week. For the most part, it makes more sense for me to work alone. That doesn't mean I'm lonely... LOL
