Usually by myself due to work hours...However, I do enjoy getting an occasional walk/jog in with friends.

I am so with DUCKSOUP6. I can't march to the drummer's beat, aka the drill seargant approach so many instructors have is such a huge turnoff. Plus, some of the moves just don't feel right or work right for me (and seem overkill). I like working out alone for the most part, going at my own pace, doing what works for me. I find when i do my cardio with a workout buddy, the talking slows me down to the point i always get a better workout solo. My favorite workout buddy is my IPOD, I have to say.

Alone mostly, workout buddy lives on a completely different coast, we just compare minutes and check in on the other.

Usually alone. Unless I'm taking a boot camp or TRX classes. I'm a bit of a loner when it comes to these things because I don't like depending on others to determine my workouts

Alone. I've tried various gyms and classes(boxing, Zumba, ballroom dance) and I get too distracted by the noise level in gyms(what's up with 50 tvs all going at once anyway?) or just the other people (talking on their cells?!?) and I cannot STAND the "drill Sargent" approach by many instructors YELLING at the class. Sorry that's the OPPOSITE of motivation for me. Now you would think yoga would be my answer right! Calm, QUIET....BORING, (plus my knees are too arthritic to bend like that) So for me the best is an hour down in my home gym and a nice quiet hike in the woods (up on the high trails, NOT on the paved path with the strollers, dogs and chatty people) ahhhh, bliss!

I really enjoy my ME time when I workout. But, I also do enjoy changing it up sometimes and working out with a buddy. I think it helps to keep going, especially when it's a gym workout or even a walking workout.

I always worked out alone - but last month a friend joined me - I kind of liked it.
You only have one life and the more baggage you have the shorter the trip! GREAT THINGS ARE PERFORMED NOT BY STRENGTH BUT BY PERSERVERANCE If i give up when i fall; i will never achieve success - the road to success is paved with all the bumps we have in the road... First Half Marathon Sept 26/2010 2hr and 57 mins Goal 2011 2-3 half marathons 2 5k 2 10k Be consistent with my fitness goals. Don't binge eat - when injuries happen. <

Alone. The advice I commonly read is to find a buddy if you want to stick to it. I find that my walks are ME time that I take just for myself.
